So I saw a retweet about Netflicks and audio only and they do a good job over at Engadget on describing this as an Android feature. Why is this only an Android feature? I bet IOS users would love this as well. Since I am not on the ?Android side, I can’t comment any on how it works, but also, I don’t have Netflicks as it is. If users have it, I’d love to hear what you think of it.
I received an article about the Iphone 11 and possible issues between November 2019 and March of this year. This article entitled Apple launches display replacement program for the iPhone 11 will talk about and link to the information that may be of interest to you.
Do you still want android?
Here are two articles on Android. They are quite interesting.
Encryption coming to androi is the first one. This is why I don’t trust Google here’s another link Its entitled New lawsuit: Why do Android phones mysteriously exchange 260MB a month with Google via cellular data when they’re not even in use?. I like android but after listening to those articles I just don’t trust Google.
You may ask why don’t I trust Google? They were taken 200MB of your personal information from your phone and now they want to protect your personal information but I don’t buy it for one minute.
How can you tell me that you can take personal information from people without their permission, then claim we’re protecting it? That one article definitely should be read to get the background on why the lawsuit is taking place. Please feel free to comment on your thoughts on these articles, the comment boards await you.
IOS 14.2.1 for Iphone 12
Perusing through Apple Vis, they are reporting that IOS 14.2.1 is available for Iphone 12 users. It fixes three specific items that are specific to iphone 12 use. If you use the iphone 12, you might want to take a look at this blog post, and see if you’re effected. Then if you are, instructions on how to upgrade are given.
I just saw a potential new lawsuit that states that Google is collecting and downloading data for potential use on a phone that is not even actively being used. The article from the register talks about this hidden practice, and something in which Google needs to come out and tell people about. What type of crap are they trying to do now?
The complaint contends that Google is using Android users’ limited cellular data allowances without permission to transmit information about those individuals
that’s unrelated to their use of Google services.Data sent over Wi-Fi is not at issue, nor is data sent over a cellular connection in the absence of Wi-Fi when an Android user has chosen to use a network-connected
application. What concerns the plaintiffs is data sent to Google’s servers that isn’t the result of deliberate interaction with a mobile device – we’re
talking passive or background data transfers via cell network, here.“Google designed and implemented its Android operating system and apps to extract and transmit large volumes of information between Plaintiffs’ cellular
devices and Google using Plaintiffs’ cellular data allowances,” the complaint claims. “Google’s misappropriation of Plaintiffs’ cellular data allowances
through passive transfers occurs in the background, does not result from Plaintiffs’ direct engagement with Google’s apps and properties on their devices,
and happens without Plaintiffs’ consent.”
Google has a lot of explaining to do, and Android people need to understand this. If I were on that 300mb plan that I was on when I first started, even if I didn’t do anything with the phone, my data would just about be gone. That’s uncalled for.

Michael in Tennessee indicated to me that it was reported that Hangouts was going away in 2020.
I opened Hangouts on November 12th to look at text messages and at the top of the screen in blue it gives a notice about hangouts going away. It links to a support article which I read, and a couple of buttons. I don’t have time at the moment, but I did tell it to switch to voice, and I’ll deal with setup and other things later on. Once that’s done, I’ll delete hangouts and look at voice and test it out.
Would you like to learn more about the change? Here’s the support article about google hangouts and google voice for you to peruse. We hope that this information is valuable to you.
A tweet two days ago indicates and we covered various updates that were made available this past week via Apple Vis. This page links to all of those updates including TVOS which was not really covered in the Apple Vis post. I’m glad I saw this, because people might want to check out the entire list. I hope this post is of value, and make it a great day!
Some of the below post may not apply to this blog, but some may. For consistancy sake, I’m going to include the entire post and people can choose what might be of interest to them. Since I have my own blog as well, it is just better for me to post the same post and let users decide what they want.
Hello folks,
In a duel release which was posted later in the afternoon or early evening since I looked at Apple Vis last, indicate that IOS 14.2 and watch OS 7.1 have all been released.
As previously blogged both on this blog and elsewhere on the Internet, this release does confirm the new detect people feature which sounds quite interesting. For that, you must have the latest IOS with the latest Iphone 12 that came out this year.
Besides that, IOS release notes indicate a bunch of emogies as well as notations from AppleVis in regards to fixes for voice over and braille users. One of the fixes was dealing with the last page of apps and going to the app library which was not supposed to happen. Read the IOS post for more.
In the watch OS post linked above, they talk about TVOS and other releases including the Mac which got an update for supplemental releases. Please view the post there to see what may impact you.
I’ll see if I can find time within the coming days to update my phone to IOS 14.2 and we’ll see what happens.
Thanks so much for reading!
Apple vis is reporting an event that will take place on November 10th at 10 am PT, 1 PM ET. We do not know if there is going to be phone news, but the rumor is that they’ll do mac news, potential headphone news, and there could even be surprises. I was hesitant to even put it here, but since it really isn’t clear what will be covered, I have decided to write a short post about this in case anyone is interested in checking it out.The even is called one more thing and you can read the details about this event through AppleVis the web site that has blindness info about IOS and Mac things. Hope this is of interest to you.
Applevis, a site tht serves the disabled community with knowing wht is accessible or not in the application and IOS world, posted a blog post talking about what is coming up within the next version of IOS, namely 14.2.
According to the blog post, it says in part:
In the upcoming releases of iOS 14.2 and iPadOS 14.2, Apple is adding a new People Detection feature to its Magnifier app on liDAR-equipped devices thatwill enable blind and low vision users to determine the distance between themselves and nearby people.
With the introduction of People Detection, Apple is delivering the first example of how the LiDAR Scanner’s ability to quickly and accurately scan and
map nearby objects can be harnessed to offer significant added value to blind and low vision users of iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, and the 2020 iPad
Pro.TheLiDAR Scanner on these devices sends out laser light and measures how long it takes to bounce back. Because light travels at a constant speed, the round-trip
time can be translated into a precise distance estimate. By Repeating this process across a two-dimensional grid, a three-dimensional map of objects around
you is generated.
This could be used in circumstances where you need to stay so far apart. We know that this year has been quite interesting in the technology landscape, and this new edition to the forthcoming IOS 14 series can give disabled people the tools they need to assist them in complying.
In no way am I saying that we aren’t complying, but in situations where we absolutely need to do this, like in a store for example, can now be done.
According to reports, those on the beta version of IOS may have gotten the gold master of 14.2, which means, the general public will be getting it very soon.
Want to read the full Applevis post on this new technology edition? Apple Adding Customizable People Detection Capability to LiDAR-Equipped iPhones and iPad Pro with Upcoming Releases of iOS 14.2 and iPadOS 14.2 is the article, and I hope that you find this post of value. Thanks for reading!
